Buying a home for the first time can be a rather daunting task especially when you are relocating, but Connie Beard made the process seamless.  We first met Connie when we went to an open house for a Denbesten Real Estate listing in Normal, IL, but the home unfortunately did not meet our needs.  Finding time to see houses was a challenge since we lived outside of the Bloomington Normal area.  Connie offered to show us more homes that very evening and continued to work around our work schedules to see homes on week nights, on a holiday weekend, and several weeks after until we found the right home.  Connie always had our best interest in mind determining what we were looking for in a home.  She answered all the questions we had.  She offered her advice throughout the process of inspections, the closing, and even to the very end when she lent us drop cloths to paint our new home.  Connie, by far, was amazing to work with and we greatly appreciate her time and diligence in helping us find our first home to start the next chapter in our lives.  Thank you Connie and Denbesten Real Estate for making this a memorable experience for us.

House in Normal, IL

My husband was delighted to get a new job in the Bloomington-Normal area in March, 2011.  Once his contract was signed, I called my realtor in Virginia to have her help me with a relocation service to find a realtor here. Cathy called me back the very next day and we talked about our needs for a home here.  I was impressed with her patience with me and the fact that she’d lived here her whole life, compared to me, who had never even been here!  I planned a trip out here two weeks away.  She showed me around the area before we even looked at any homes, which was nice.  She had scheduled many visits for the afternoon of my arrival based upon our internet searches while in Virginia.  She was willing to devote her entire weekend to my house-hunting visit.  We narrowed the field that weekend after looking at nearly thirty homes and I returned with my husband the next weekend to make an offer after he’d seen the “short list” of houses.

She was easy to work with and showed me all manner of homes that had the features we desired.  She came to the closing and has been a “go-to” person as far as learning about the area for me.
